Chasing Bars

I wasn’t going to write about this vid this soon, but the fact is, I’ve been watching it at least five times per day since it was uploaded on Youtube. This is one of my absolute favorite music videos with Dave. The lyrics are perfection, the voice is almost beautiful (if I may say so) and the production values are as high as Mount Everest. I love the interaction with the people on the streets and the scene when two guys actually talk! The way Dave used it was terrific.

The song is a parody of Chasing Cars, a song by Snow Patrol. There’s no doubt Dave’s version of the song is way better and more meaningful. Am I right or what? Keith Jodoin is responsible for the camera work in this video, at least when Dave is walking and playing on the streets. The interiors were shot in front of a green screen and the exteriors in King ST. in Old Town VA. (Please, DC, correct me if I’m wrong.)
